The company has a strong reputation for quality, as well as Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) standards. CCM Chemicals is backed by CCM Bhd., which is a stable blue chip company listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE). 

 

 

The company’s main activities include the manufacturing and marketing of industrial and specialty chemicals. The company has established manufacturing and repacking facilities in Pasir Gudang, Shah Alam and Port Klang. CCM Chemicals represent over 50 world-renowned companies in the marketing and distribution of industrial and specialty chemicals.

History of CCM Chemicals Sdn Bhd

In the 1930s, the company commenced trading industrial chemicals in Malaya. In 1963, the parent company was incorporated as Chemical Company of Malaysia Limited to manufacture chlor-alkali products and high-grade compound fertilisers. The company, formerly known as ICI Industrial Chemicals (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a leader in supplying chemicals to the Malaysian manufacturing industry

In 1992, CCM Chemicals invested in a chlor-alkali manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang. The company also acquired an ammonia repacking terminal in Port Klang in 1994 and invested in a CFC-free refrigerant gas repacking plant in Shah Alam in 1996. A joint-venture between CCM Chemicals and Orica Pty. Ltd. (Australia) was set up to address the growing demand for bulk explosives in Malaysia. The company established its first regional office in Singapore, CCM Singapore Pte. Ltd. in 1997.
